OK. I said I was sort of obsessed with this skirt. This is one of the other looks I put together with it. A more casual, younger look guaranteed to bring out your inner nerd but I thought it was fun so I decided to share. First, gotta love the Lucy Ricardo glasses, so very retro. The cardigan is from Tres Blah and with the small sparkles on the shoulder it makes it not-your-usual cardigan and I think it has a little retro look too. The shirt is actually made of pieces from two different shirts. I wanted the long shirt tail and belt from the Maitreya shirt but to make the collar work with the sweater I had to use an older one from Gisaci. The silver brogues (also from Leverocci) are another retro look really popular now…I ❤ brogues and I especially like them in this shiny silver version teamed with slouchy socks. Two bags were needed…. the small one to keep my pixel cash in and the larger one for important pixel stuff too big to fit in the other smaller bag. The large purse is from So Many Styles, sort of a doctor bag shape and the small one from TokiD. Some cool jewelry from DDL, 2 necklaces and a watch plus from Addict one of my favorite rings, a golden chocolate piece. Have a great week-end. See ya, Elisabeth

I adore Anya Ohmai’s darling little “fox” stole. And yes…it is faux fur (and of course it is faux, faux fur being pixels and all). She has done an amazing job with this piece….and I love the retro-ness of it. I am wearing it with some fabulous mesh items from Celoe. These pants are just wonderful. Love the shape, the texture, the shading and since they are mesh is is so cool to be able to sit in them and they actually still look like pants! The jacket is also Celoe…once again great technical work with the shape and artistic work with the textures and if either of these were available in rl I would be adding them to my closet. The travel bag is from Mon Tissue—shown here in camel but it comes in other super fun colors so you can always travel in style. The off-white handbag is from Orta. I added some favorite “oldies” to the mix including Dango’s beret by Azure Electricteeth, the fun Fly Earrings by Polyester Partridge, Paper Couture’s huge Moon Ring and LaGyo’s gorgeous bracelets.

Patchwork is cute and just a little retro and these shorts from Pink Outfitters are both. (They’re not new, but I forgot I had them and how cute they were!) I love the embroidery on the back pocket. ❤ They are worn here with the Billie lace tank top…also from PO…double cute! The long-sleeved thermal top in robin’s egg blue is from Pig. These thermals are wardrobe staple must-haves, especially now that it is getting cooler outside. The jacket is from enSvale and it is probably my favorite denim jacket right now. The detailing is just perfect. Look at the seams on the back….. 🙂 The accessories add some fun and every item shown here is high quality in both the texturing and the design. J’s engineer boots which fold up or down and change colors (with the fatpack option) are beautifully made. Everything from Maitreya is great and Maitreya’s Coin Belt is no exception. It gives the look a little weight as do the Goth Necklaces from Fashionably Dead. And the pony tail hair with beret is yummy. The beret changes colors and textures along with the band around the pony tail. My pixels are happy! Hope yours are too.

Whoa…this has been a long wait! Lots of participants and so much fun watching everyone “do their thing” and then pass on the baton—each person creating new looks from one piece chosen from the previous blogger’s outfit. I kept nervously checking to see when it would be my turn and as luck would have it when my turn finally arrived—I had rl constantly pulling me away from the job at hand. Finally I got to it. When I saw the super cute and colorful outfit Nissa Nightfire put together my first thought was ohhhh…cool pants, have to have them —and I raced out to buy them (got the fatpack). But I also bought the RunoRuno tank and after I tried it on I knew it would be the item. I love the texture and the way the straps fall down around the shoulders. I loved it so much in fact that I made more than one outfit with it. I like to explore all the options so I shot several versions and here is one of them. I will blog another one…since hey….! I already did all the work! But this is my Official Fashion Relay outfit.
Super casual, the plaid shirt from Thimbles is layered over my favorite tank top from Michami. This whole look is about accessories and these are some of my favs. The bracelet from Yummy is super cute with the heart charms and is scripted to color change the bands. For the cross necklace I had to go to Cardianal Sin. A great place to check out in case you need any Ecclesiastical vestements. The hat and hair are from ETD and the dockers which are really amazing are by Hoorenbeek. The tote is from Polina Kaestler who has opened her new main store and the gorgeous belt from Coco.
Thanks to Sasy Scarborough for coming up with this challenge….just one of the many, many incredible things she does! And now I pass the baton to an SL Icon…the beautiful, talented and famous Callie Cline…..(and I must say one of the most generous and nicest designers in our SL world.) Yesterday I wrote a post featuring the beautiful Loli asymmetrical jacket from Cupcakes with a sophisticated, dressy pant. Today, I wanted to show two other looks put together with the same jacket. In the first photo the jacket is worn with a skirt. I think it looks great with a skirt—even a slightly full one like this super-cute balloon skirt from the Creamshop. (A great skirt to have and it is available in many, many —nine, I think— colors.) I love pieces like these that can work with everything and I was really surprised at how great this little jacket blended with almost everything I tried. I included a back view so you could see the detail on the back of the jacket…so pretty. By the way, Loli also comes in three other beautiful jewel tone colors.
The second outfit is much more casual and pairs the asymmetrical jacket with Zaara’s new velour pants and a pair of riding boots. To contrast with the casualness of the pants and belt, the necklace is a dressy gold, pearl and crystal one from Paper Couture and the purse is an alligator handbag from Lelutka. The bag is one of my favorites that works well with almost anything.
Hope you like it too!
