OK. I said I was sort of obsessed with this skirt. This is one of the other looks I put together with it. A more casual, younger look guaranteed to bring out your inner nerd but I thought it was fun so I decided to share. First, gotta love the Lucy Ricardo glasses, so very retro. The cardigan is from Tres Blah and with the small sparkles on the shoulder it makes it not-your-usual cardigan and I think it has a little retro look too. The shirt is actually made of pieces from two different shirts. I wanted the long shirt tail and belt from the Maitreya shirt but to make the collar work with the sweater I had to use an older one from Gisaci. The silver brogues (also from Leverocci) are another retro look really popular now…I ❤ brogues and I especially like them in this shiny silver version teamed with slouchy socks. Two bags were needed…. the small one to keep my pixel cash in and the larger one for important pixel stuff too big to fit in the other smaller bag. The large purse is from So Many Styles, sort of a doctor bag shape and the small one from TokiD. Some cool jewelry from DDL, 2 necklaces and a watch plus from Addict one of my favorite rings, a golden chocolate piece. Have a great week-end. See ya, Elisabeth

It is OPEN! Hair Fair 2010 is off to a great start. From September 4-19 you can shop ’til you drop. But don’t forget one of the most important things about Hair Fair is that it helps raise money for a very good cause. This year’s charity is Wigs for Kids…so keep that in mind when buying….and splurge!
I was lucky enough to get to see the sims before they were packed with people and took a few shots. The build is delightful with tents housing the participants along walkways punctuated by classical triumphal arches. Along the center of the walkways are easels which hold the incredible winning pictures of this year’s Hair Fair photography contest and big containers topped by balloons where you can make donations to the charity. Inside the tents, you will find most of your favorite hair designers as well as many others you may not have seen before. Take a look between the display areas inside the tents..there are cute dressing areas with make-up mirrors, fans, folding chairs. (See some of my pics below.) The styles this year are simply fantastic…in this post you’ll see a few of my favorites with more to come over the next several days. Congratulations to the Hair Fair committee for all their hard work and to the designers who have worked so hard making all the pretty hairstyles showcased at the fair! Enjoy. Complete list of landmarks. Details on skins, clothing and jewelry after the cut.

This look was inspired by several things; this tiny, tiny little skirt from Liberty Shinn at LP Design (it comes in many other colors) and the flowered crop jacket from La Maison Kaestner ❤ (here i just wore the chest part to make it a little vest). Fashionboi Landar from House of Fox created the black leather bra and the sheer top (these are from older releases). HOF is really doing amazing and uber-creative couture work. If you haven’t been, go check it out. This wonderful updo called Maya is newly released from I Love Olive. Look at the back! Beautiful.
The photos were shot at the Zero sim and in the end they all had a sort of dream-like quality helped along by the beautiful poses by Del May—hence the name of the post. All details and landmarks below the cut.

I love the crispness of blue and white. Wearing it makes me want to go stand somewhere in the sunshine with a warm breeze blowing around me. Like on a dock overlooking some beautiful blue water. The dress is an old favorite, a simple white mini from Armidi worn with a jean jacket and white shirt from Aoharu layered over it. And no matter which way you look at it—from the front or the back—the Zaara necklace looks GREAT. Zaara also makes a matching bracelet that wraps the wrist and drapes down the hand. ❤ This is the turquoise stone necklace but it also comes in amethyst and onyx. A really simple look that makes the necklace pop. OK….got to go out into the sunshine. See ya, Elisabeth

One of my favorite stores this year is Donna Flora. So I really went crazy at the Accessory Fair when I hit the shop. The designer is Squinternet Larnia and her items were the inspiration for this outfit. I wanted a light and airy dress and found it at Happy Finds. This is the Mollusk dress from the Ephemeral Collection and it is so incredible..it really looks like organza. The jacket is an older one from Paper Couture but one of my favorites.
I am wearing earrings from Donna Flora’s set Delores. I am not wearing the beautiful necklace from the set but I wanted to show it so it is included in a separate shot below. This is the gold set but it comes in many other colors so go check it out. There is also a detail of the awesome purse. I had to buy it in several colors!!! I love, love, love the flowers on the front and the beading that hangs from the bottom. The hat is incredible. Here you actually only see the flower because the knit part of the hat is under my hair but it absolutely great.
The Accessory Fair runs until March 27. More info here. Taxi here.

Yes, plenty cold and lots of the white stuff falling. But we can stay toasty and warm with all the cute furs and winter gear around the grid right now. I love the all-white looks for snow. And now you can even find skins made for winter. Gala Phoenix at Curio has done some really cute skins that look as though you have been out in the cold with rosy cheeks and flushed skin. This one even has frosty white eyeshadow to match the sparkly snow. ❤ The fur stole from DP yumyum with the little fringe trim is perfect for keeping the shoulders covered and the shiny pants from Lelutka are definitely on my favorite list. They are beautifully rendered and look great in every color. Here they are perfect apres-ski pants but put them with heels and they are sexy and sleek. Kookies’ boots are just yummy….and they come in so many colors, you won’t be able to choose! Details on the rest of the outfit are listed after the cut. Take care and stay warm!

Ok, well maybe not. But I admit it. I must love pink. I typed pink into my inventory the other day and I couldn’t believe how much pink I actually had. It seems to have inundated my closet. The reason I had typed pink in the first place was that I had found some cute shorts and knee length pants at MNK Shop and was trying on various combinations with existing inventory pieces. Anyway I had fun and came up with a couple of looks I liked and so decided to share them. First of all let me say, if you haven’t been to MNK then by all means GO! Lots of really cute items. When I saw these I clicked on “buy” immediately and when I got home and tried them on I wasn’t disappointed. There were three different pant shapes in the package. (I only show two here but the third is cute too…a little like culottes.) The set of three pants is only 90 lindens—what a bargain 🙂 —and they come in two other colors too.
The first look is with the puffy shorts and a sweater that is also from MNK. The sweater knit is a great texture and I love the shape of the bottom and how it stands out and doesn’t hug the body. It is also only 90 lindens and comes in six other colors as well. I put it with a prim vest from Sweetest Goodbye which worked well over the sweater prim. I also love, love, love the purse from tres blah. Yummy. The book sticking out and the bow on the front really add a whimsical touch. The knit scarf is also from tres blah and just look at the cute little bird pin that comes on it. ❤
The knee-length pants I put with an old favorite, the Lima trench coat from Armidi, but worn here only with the jacket layer. The shoes are Teese from Lelutka’s Spring Collection. I adore the chunkiness of the shoe and heel. The tote bag by Malt has a great suede texture and shape. It gives this look a slightly more serious tone. Anyway, hope you like the outfits. Stay pink and be happy.
