Still winter here so I thought a little bright color might cheer things up. And is there and color brighter or more cheerful than orange? The fur vest from So Many Styles has been in my closet for a while and now seemed the perfect time to bring it out. This is one of the cutest fur vests around and it comes in fantastic colors and a lot of them. The chunky shoes from Fashionboi Landar are the perfect bright shade to pair with the vest …they match the cord ties. Underneath is a really old vintage sweater from Gisaci but it still rocks. The gold muted color and the scooped neck work here (although it also has a beautiful draped, collar attachment that I am not wearing). I really like to use older pieces if they are still high quality and most everything I have from Armidi is. The other vintage thing I am wearing is my “&Bean” skin. The &Bean skins are no longer available but they have always been some of my favorites because of their strong look. The sheer slightly frilly tank top with the gold sequin trim is by Nylon Pinkney. Her hand-painted items are always wonderful…lots of style, imagination and fun! I really like that you can see the high-waist of the leopard jeans/tights (R.icielli) under it.
The glasses from Izzie’s remind me of Diane Keaton (maybe Annie Hall?) and the hair with the wrapped scarf give the whole thing a real boho flavour. The sunglasses have different tints for the lenses and the scarf has several texture change options too! If you look you can barely see a peek of the fantastic mesh earrings from Beetlebones in the large photo. I had to buy the fatpack…not only did I love the shape and design but the colors are beautiful and each color comes with gold or silver bezels. For the rest of the jewelry I wanted sort of a mix of necklaces and these are from Atelier AM and Mandala. The purple gloves are from Royal blue by Marni Grut. I really like the way the cuffs on these look and they are wide enough to fit over other pieces (plus you can size the attachments which always helps). The purse which has been blogged many times now—so you must have already seen it—is one of the many mesh items from Maitreya. This mustard color was a special edition but it also comes in a lot of other wonderful colors. Details on everything after the cut. Well it may still be cold here but at least the sun is shining so I am going out! As always, for high-resolution versions of the photos, just click. See ya, Elisabeth

Channeling Tippi Hedren while taking my little dog for a walk, things got a little frightening (!) but at least I was wearing some of my favorite new mesh items. I love the Harris coat from S h i. Here I have not worn all the attachments so it looks more like a short jacket with elbow length sleeves. I like the short sort of casualness of it and the little touch of luxury with the fur collar. (It is gorgeous as a full coat and comes with two variations of the sleeves and I am sure most of you have seen it as it has been blogged a lot.) The skin tight leather pants are part of Maitreya’s mesh offerings. They are beautifully detailed and come in several dark and subtle color variations. The shoes are called Treaders …. I seriously love the rubber soles and slightly chunky look. They are also from Maitreya and are not mesh nor do they come with the foot in them so you can add your own socks—yay—which I did. I am loving the scarf from Zaara…it was part of the final 50 linden Friday. (So sorry that is gone.) It looks like a great Hermes scarf. The Cinch Belt is by Gospel Voom and as always with his creations, beautifully designed and crafted. I tried not to go overboard with the jewelry…the earrings from LaGyo make such a bold statement you don’t need much else so I limited it to some great rings and a little bracelet. Kept it simple with a classic purse in ostrich from Fleshtone so it wouldn’t compete with my dog carrier bag from Zoobies. OK got to run..the birds……….. As always click on any photo for a hi-res version and more detail! See ya, Elisabeth

I have been obsessing with this Leverocci skirt and have made about 10 outfits with it. I don’t know why. I really love the skirt but I for some reason I was fascinated with how it could look so different with different styling. This look might be my favorite, but I don’t know. I do know I LOVE the big, oversized sweater-jacket from Mr. Poet. Not only is it mesh and one of the best looking things I have seen but …are you ready?…it is free! And it comes in a box of three colors. The sweater I have on under it is also from Mr. Poet and is part of the CapeCoat outfit. It is made for men so be prepared to resize the old way, piece by piece. Still, I love the styling so I think it is worth it. The boots have been blogged a lot but…oh…aren’t they beautiful? From Maitreya and they too are rigged mesh. The purse is LaGyo. One of several color combinations in this style. I love black and white so this might be my favorite. The wonderful earrings are Paper Couture and are as always….from the Lu sisters…fabulous. I really searched for the right necklace and in the end I loved the tram necklace made of a big soft fabric bow.

After several weeks of traveling, then coming home and then taking off again..I can’t seem to get back into the groove. I don’t know if it is the heat or just general laziness but it is a struggle to get motivated. I have been logging in but not spending much time. So, I decided to jump back in and do a post or two and see if that doesn’t do the trick. Maybe part of the problem is that when I log in there are so many great new things that it is hard to catch up. All I want to do is shop—oh well, what’s new? I have a theory that one week in sl is like a four in rl….so if you are gone for two months, it is really more like 8 months..and a lot can happen in 8 months.
These are some pictures I took a few weeks ago and the items that make up the outfit aren’t really new releases now. But I like the outfit and thought I would share. I absolutely love the big braid from Truth and modded it a bit to fit under one of my favorite hats from Lelutka. This hat was released last year but it comes in so many gorgeous colors that it is a summer must-have. The Zaara jewelry is amazing(<3 Zaara Kohime)…it really goes with so many things. I think here it adds a needed bit more color to the whole look. The jacket is from Maitreya and is worn over a jumpsuit (part of a dress) from Doppleganger— great fabric and simple design. More details on items and landmarks after the cut. And more posts to come soon.

Everyone needs a little black dress and this is a great one—the French Dress from Wasted Youth. I played around and put together several outfits with it…sometimes as a dress but also as a top. I am showing you two of my favorite combinations here. I pulled a real “vintage” piece (the used Flower Cardigan in red from Kurotsubaki) from my closet to wear over it in the first look. The belt is a fairly new one from LG Concept …it comes in several colors and I love the sculpted flower buckle. The little purse is from Baiastice. The great thing (besides that it is so cute) is it comes in a couple of sizes and both shoulder and hand hold positions. Yay for that. The second look is the dress worn more as a top over leggings. These leggings are from R.icielli and how cute is that newspaper print!!?? The flower on the hat is from Atelier AM. ❤ It is a headband but works well added to the hat. Patchwork is cute and just a little retro and these shorts from Pink Outfitters are both. (They’re not new, but I forgot I had them and how cute they were!) I love the embroidery on the back pocket. ❤ They are worn here with the Billie lace tank top…also from PO…double cute! The long-sleeved thermal top in robin’s egg blue is from Pig. These thermals are wardrobe staple must-haves, especially now that it is getting cooler outside. The jacket is from enSvale and it is probably my favorite denim jacket right now. The detailing is just perfect. Look at the seams on the back….. 🙂 The accessories add some fun and every item shown here is high quality in both the texturing and the design. J’s engineer boots which fold up or down and change colors (with the fatpack option) are beautifully made. Everything from Maitreya is great and Maitreya’s Coin Belt is no exception. It gives the look a little weight as do the Goth Necklaces from Fashionably Dead. And the pony tail hair with beret is yummy. The beret changes colors and textures along with the band around the pony tail. My pixels are happy! Hope yours are too.

I have had these wonderful Emery tights with the quilted leather knee patches in my inventory for at least a couple of months and never really found exactly what I wanted to wear them with. Then today I found this wonderful new sweater from So Many Styles and the match was made. The sweater is really a dress, but I pulled up the middle prim to shorten it a bit. I love this sweater dress, the texture is just so “knitty.” I feel warm just looking at it. The big cowl neck is fantastically sculpted. And it comes with a version that has a flower at the neck too. The skin I am wearing is one of the new Eclate skins from Lelutka. That is why I included the large photo to show you how pretty these are….just on the off chance that somehow you haven’t seen them yet. Anyway, I think these skins are beautiful and I absolutely love the thicker brows. (Reminds me of a young Brooke Shields.) The purse from Baiastice is real crocodile—so it must be vintage, right? And I love that it is resizable which comes in handy. Just enlarge or shrink depending on the look you want. If only that were possible in rl! I wanted to keep the shoes simple and the Verve suede pumps from Maitreya with their small platform give a nice line to the leg. Anyway, I like the look; uncomplicated, casual and elegant. Hope you do too. (Click any photo to see a larger version.)
