Still winter here so I thought a little bright color might cheer things up. And is there and color brighter or more cheerful than orange? The fur vest from So Many Styles has been in my closet for a while and now seemed the perfect time to bring it out. This is one of the cutest fur vests around and it comes in fantastic colors and a lot of them. The chunky shoes from Fashionboi Landar are the perfect bright shade to pair with the vest …they match the cord ties. Underneath is a really old vintage sweater from Gisaci but it still rocks. The gold muted color and the scooped neck work here (although it also has a beautiful draped, collar attachment that I am not wearing). I really like to use older pieces if they are still high quality and most everything I have from Armidi is. The other vintage thing I am wearing is my “&Bean” skin. The &Bean skins are no longer available but they have always been some of my favorites because of their strong look. The sheer slightly frilly tank top with the gold sequin trim is by Nylon Pinkney. Her hand-painted items are always wonderful…lots of style, imagination and fun! I really like that you can see the high-waist of the leopard jeans/tights (R.icielli) under it.
The glasses from Izzie’s remind me of Diane Keaton (maybe Annie Hall?) and the hair with the wrapped scarf give the whole thing a real boho flavour. The sunglasses have different tints for the lenses and the scarf has several texture change options too! If you look you can barely see a peek of the fantastic mesh earrings from Beetlebones in the large photo. I had to buy the fatpack…not only did I love the shape and design but the colors are beautiful and each color comes with gold or silver bezels. For the rest of the jewelry I wanted sort of a mix of necklaces and these are from Atelier AM and Mandala. The purple gloves are from Royal blue by Marni Grut. I really like the way the cuffs on these look and they are wide enough to fit over other pieces (plus you can size the attachments which always helps). The purse which has been blogged many times now—so you must have already seen it—is one of the many mesh items from Maitreya. This mustard color was a special edition but it also comes in a lot of other wonderful colors. Details on everything after the cut. Well it may still be cold here but at least the sun is shining so I am going out! As always, for high-resolution versions of the photos, just click. See ya, Elisabeth

OK. I said I was sort of obsessed with this skirt. This is one of the other looks I put together with it. A more casual, younger look guaranteed to bring out your inner nerd but I thought it was fun so I decided to share. First, gotta love the Lucy Ricardo glasses, so very retro. The cardigan is from Tres Blah and with the small sparkles on the shoulder it makes it not-your-usual cardigan and I think it has a little retro look too. The shirt is actually made of pieces from two different shirts. I wanted the long shirt tail and belt from the Maitreya shirt but to make the collar work with the sweater I had to use an older one from Gisaci. The silver brogues (also from Leverocci) are another retro look really popular now…I ❤ brogues and I especially like them in this shiny silver version teamed with slouchy socks. Two bags were needed…. the small one to keep my pixel cash in and the larger one for important pixel stuff too big to fit in the other smaller bag. The large purse is from So Many Styles, sort of a doctor bag shape and the small one from TokiD. Some cool jewelry from DDL, 2 necklaces and a watch plus from Addict one of my favorite rings, a golden chocolate piece. Have a great week-end. See ya, Elisabeth

These photos were taken at the wonderful “Ferry” created by AM Radio. Unhappily, it is no longer there but at least I got a few shots before it disappeared. All of Am Radio’s sim designs were/are iconic and I have been lucky enough to experience all of them. We are fortunate that some are still on the grid to be appreciated. If you have been under a rock or are new to the virtual world then by all means search out some of his work. I made these pictures a while back but never posted. I know these are not just-released items but they are all great designs and I loved the Ferry so I when I found the photos I decided to post them. I had been obsessed with the hat from LaGyo and it was the inspiration for the outfit. It seemed a perfect match with the cinched linen high-waisted pants by Irene Campesi from So Many Styles. Then I found the wonderful top by Leezu Baxter. Just beautiful! Also from LaGyo is the wicker bag with circle handle (which comes in many color choices) and the fantastic pink earrings! The earrings are color change so you can always make them work with your outfit. I really love everything Gyorgina does and her hats and bags this year have been just brilliant. The shoes from Aoharu Anexx are great little suede wedges with leather fringes and just a little toe showing. To finish it all off are some amber bracelets and a bobble ring from another great jewelry maker, Zaara Kohime.

I am a big fan of hats, I have been since I joined SL but wow… they have really come a long way. When I found this wonderful hat from Georgyna (LaGyo) it was instant love and the start of this look. Soft and beautifully shaped it comes in many simply gorgeous colors and you can change the color of the button and string band with a built-in script. I added from Mon Tissue a great all around suede jacket. Love the way it cinches in at the waist and then flounces out. The pumps are also from Mon Tissue and the are the perfect little heel for a sporty look. The cropped pants—a length I love in RL as well—are from Willow. They are a huge favorite of mine right now. I found an old favorite in my scarf drawer from Artilleri. It’s a classic, one of the first scarfs I ever bought and I still love it. I don’t know why I needed a briefcase for looking at pumpkins but it is cute. And the little shoulder purse is TokiDoki, a real ❤ with its embroidered flowers on the flap.

In the darkest of nights the jewelry with the most sparkle is the way to go…even with jeans these fabulous sparklies look great. I usually buy things in sl that I would want in rl if it were possible and for sure…these I would want! Ditto for the boots, I absolutely love these! The Lu sisters have outdone themselves once again. The long sweater is from TokiD, it hangs beautifully and comes in a myriad of wonderful colors. By the way you will notice that the last picture has a different color lipstick. I put that in because I love the way just a tattoo layer can change the skin so much. Pididdle has some great lipsticks in wonderful unusual colors that work well with most skins so…. go have a look. I actually started this look with the great hair from Tram. You gotta love the bobby pins and the chic little bob. And of course the purse…mesh from Leverocci…pure beauty.

The perfect travel outfit…comfortable, travel-worthy but still sexy. Coco’s Mods Coat is wrinkle-proof, water-proof and still stylish…the leopard lining gives it that little extra something. I couldn’t believe it but I found these tights that were a perfect match in my inventory. They are from Love Me and come in several different animal prints. Love me makes really cute tights so if you haven’t been there, go! The travel bag is from Truth. I love the size (big enough to stuff in a week-end’s worth) and I love the metal studs on the sides. The fabulous necklace and earrings are new from LaGyo (<3 Gyorgyna). Her whole new collection is really something, I know I will be wearing a lot of it! And she has a great big new store, don’t miss it. The top is Lelutka and as always the quality of the textures are beautiful, the little flounce at the bottom is great. I’m wearing my favorite “French Roll” updo in Sl….Siri by Maitreya, perfect for always looking chic. The new glasses are from Vintage McMillan at epoque. (Don’t they make me look smarter?) Who would have thought? A fantastic Frank Lloyd Wright museum exists in our pixel world. I found it merely by chance by but I enjoyed the museum as well as visiting the virtual recreations of some of Wright’s famous residential buildings. There is even a museum store where you can buy recreations of furniture, posters, lamps and virtual books. It is educational, beautiful and really worth seeing!
And my g0-to-the -museum attire? The look was inspired by a couple of different things. The first was the pillbox hat by Epoque with it’s peacock feather trim. The second was the sweater and pin from Surf Couture (a 50 linden Friday item). I added the BettyPage Voyager jean jacket and the chiffon skirt from So Many Styles. (The skirt is a staple in my closet..I love the realistic layers and it comes in many colors as well as a subtle dotted pattern.) I think accessories make the outfit… so not one but two gorgeous rings…one from Zaara and the other from Paper Couture. Feathers became a theme….there are feathers on the necklace from Atelier AM and the earrings from Pididdle are peacock feathers that match the one on the hat. And Valena Glushenko’s (Orta) wonderful Stella clutch adds a little punch of color.
More credits and landmarks after the cut. And forgive me all the pictures but I wanted to show the museum as well as the outfit (the first one and the last two are at the museum). And by all means go check it our if you get a chance!
