Still winter here so I thought a little bright color might cheer things up. And is there and color brighter or more cheerful than orange? The fur vest from So Many Styles has been in my closet for a while and now seemed the perfect time to bring it out. This is one of the cutest fur vests around and it comes in fantastic colors and a lot of them. The chunky shoes from Fashionboi Landar are the perfect bright shade to pair with the vest …they match the cord ties. Underneath is a really old vintage sweater from Gisaci but it still rocks. The gold muted color and the scooped neck work here (although it also has a beautiful draped, collar attachment that I am not wearing). I really like to use older pieces if they are still high quality and most everything I have from Armidi is. The other vintage thing I am wearing is my “&Bean” skin. The &Bean skins are no longer available but they have always been some of my favorites because of their strong look. The sheer slightly frilly tank top with the gold sequin trim is by Nylon Pinkney. Her hand-painted items are always wonderful…lots of style, imagination and fun! I really like that you can see the high-waist of the leopard jeans/tights (R.icielli) under it.
The glasses from Izzie’s remind me of Diane Keaton (maybe Annie Hall?) and the hair with the wrapped scarf give the whole thing a real boho flavour. The sunglasses have different tints for the lenses and the scarf has several texture change options too! If you look you can barely see a peek of the fantastic mesh earrings from Beetlebones in the large photo. I had to buy the fatpack…not only did I love the shape and design but the colors are beautiful and each color comes with gold or silver bezels. For the rest of the jewelry I wanted sort of a mix of necklaces and these are from Atelier AM and Mandala. The purple gloves are from Royal blue by Marni Grut. I really like the way the cuffs on these look and they are wide enough to fit over other pieces (plus you can size the attachments which always helps). The purse which has been blogged many times now—so you must have already seen it—is one of the many mesh items from Maitreya. This mustard color was a special edition but it also comes in a lot of other wonderful colors. Details on everything after the cut. Well it may still be cold here but at least the sun is shining so I am going out! As always, for high-resolution versions of the photos, just click. See ya, Elisabeth

In the winter season sunny days seldom come along in rl but here in our pixel world they are easy to come by. So when the snow is falling outside my rl window it is great to escape and enjoy the sunshine on the grid. For my day in the sun I’m wearing one of Mon Tissu’s mesh pencil skirts. Beautiful textures and lots ! of colors available. The grey top is also Mon Tissu —I love that it is long and you can wear it outside your skirt…it even has its own little belt. The top is really versatile and a little boho, it looks great on its own with just a pair of tights or jeans. The coat is a two-tiered, almost-military style from Lelutka …. I love the way it hangs open and looks so natural. The bag from LaGyo is really one of my favs this year, it adds lots of style with its huge size and great crocodile texture. It comes with a nice pose or two which is important for handbags unless you have an AO that can accommodate the bag-holding without the handbag ending up inside your body or over your head. Can’t stop without mentioning the hair from vive9…LOVE the wrap style (very chic) and the little wisps of hair escaping from the wrap. I absolutely ❤ the lace-up boots from JySyLilO. A great heel and the laces and zippers add an edgy quality. More details and landmarks after the cut. Now get out in the sunshine, even if it is pixel sunshine.

I love the new ruffled boleros by G. Fields. She has a free version (in pumpkin color) at her store..I liked it so much I trotted right down to buy the fatpack. It is shown here with long sleeves but it also comes in a mid-sleeve and cap-sleeve version (also with ruffles) and you can wear it with or without the ruffled collar which makes it really versatile. A great staple for any closet.
The other new item here is the super cute short dress (worn as a top) from SK Designs. The package comes with two different patterns, both for only 150 lindens (what a bargain). All this is layered over a blouse from Zaara.
And accessories are important here..I tried to pile as many on as possible. 😀 The asymmetrical hat is from Coco and the big bow scarf from Miel. It is great…comes with changeable color textures and built-in resizing script. Also..I want to thank say a big thanks to Sasy Scarborough for her help while I was working on this post….she let me use her pose stands and fixed mine that I somehow had broken. So thanks Sasy…big hugs. Read more details and landmarks listed after the cut!

Who would have thought? A fantastic Frank Lloyd Wright museum exists in our pixel world. I found it merely by chance by but I enjoyed the museum as well as visiting the virtual recreations of some of Wright’s famous residential buildings. There is even a museum store where you can buy recreations of furniture, posters, lamps and virtual books. It is educational, beautiful and really worth seeing!
And my g0-to-the -museum attire? The look was inspired by a couple of different things. The first was the pillbox hat by Epoque with it’s peacock feather trim. The second was the sweater and pin from Surf Couture (a 50 linden Friday item). I added the BettyPage Voyager jean jacket and the chiffon skirt from So Many Styles. (The skirt is a staple in my closet..I love the realistic layers and it comes in many colors as well as a subtle dotted pattern.) I think accessories make the outfit… so not one but two gorgeous rings…one from Zaara and the other from Paper Couture. Feathers became a theme….there are feathers on the necklace from Atelier AM and the earrings from Pididdle are peacock feathers that match the one on the hat. And Valena Glushenko’s (Orta) wonderful Stella clutch adds a little punch of color.
More credits and landmarks after the cut. And forgive me all the pictures but I wanted to show the museum as well as the outfit (the first one and the last two are at the museum). And by all means go check it our if you get a chance!

Everyone needs a little black dress and this is a great one—the French Dress from Wasted Youth. I played around and put together several outfits with it…sometimes as a dress but also as a top. I am showing you two of my favorite combinations here. I pulled a real “vintage” piece (the used Flower Cardigan in red from Kurotsubaki) from my closet to wear over it in the first look. The belt is a fairly new one from LG Concept …it comes in several colors and I love the sculpted flower buckle. The little purse is from Baiastice. The great thing (besides that it is so cute) is it comes in a couple of sizes and both shoulder and hand hold positions. Yay for that. The second look is the dress worn more as a top over leggings. These leggings are from R.icielli and how cute is that newspaper print!!?? The flower on the hat is from Atelier AM. ❤ It is a headband but works well added to the hat. Well not really but with a name like Cell Block Blazer it sort of makes sense. Kendall Freenote, designer of Wasted Youth, has been churning out some super cute new additions to her already super cute inventory. I love this blazer. I found so many ways to wear it…but this was my favorite. A totally black and white look with only the ribbon on the hat from Epoque adding a note of red. The leggings/pants are from Emery and I love the detail of the belt drawn on….beautiful!! I added the new lariat pearl rope and pearl necklaces in black from Aya Huldschinsky (Atleir AM) and a zebra skin purse from Paper Couture. The black and white oxford tie shoes from Coco finish it off. More looks to post soon from Wasted Youth. Go check it out. Details and landmarks after the cute. …would I wanna be anywhere else? Those lyrics have been going around in my head all day. Just the chorus, but it won’t stop… Maybe it’s because finally the sun IS in the sky and it is shining. Anyway maybe that is why I feel like wearing something fun. I got this great headpiece and new flower and lace skirt from LG Boutique (<3 Georgyna Larnia) that I wanted to wear so I started there. The little leopard tippet with pearl closing from Atelier AM is new too and something I really love but hadn’t worn yet so that went into the mix. You can’t have too many pearls so I added a long string of pearls (from AA as well). I liked the outfit worn with the red Mongolian fur from Fishy Strawberry so I show it here both with and without. The little woven straw hand purse is from LG boutique too and it is sooooooooo cute…..and comes in tons of colors. Oh why, oh why would I wanna be anywhere else?
