Still winter here so I thought a little bright color might cheer things up. And is there and color brighter or more cheerful than orange? The fur vest from So Many Styles has been in my closet for a while and now seemed the perfect time to bring it out. This is one of the cutest fur vests around and it comes in fantastic colors and a lot of them. The chunky shoes from Fashionboi Landar are the perfect bright shade to pair with the vest …they match the cord ties. Underneath is a really old vintage sweater from Gisaci but it still rocks. The gold muted color and the scooped neck work here (although it also has a beautiful draped, collar attachment that I am not wearing). I really like to use older pieces if they are still high quality and most everything I have from Armidi is. The other vintage thing I am wearing is my “&Bean” skin. The &Bean skins are no longer available but they have always been some of my favorites because of their strong look. The sheer slightly frilly tank top with the gold sequin trim is by Nylon Pinkney. Her hand-painted items are always wonderful…lots of style, imagination and fun! I really like that you can see the high-waist of the leopard jeans/tights (R.icielli) under it.
The glasses from Izzie’s remind me of Diane Keaton (maybe Annie Hall?) and the hair with the wrapped scarf give the whole thing a real boho flavour. The sunglasses have different tints for the lenses and the scarf has several texture change options too! If you look you can barely see a peek of the fantastic mesh earrings from Beetlebones in the large photo. I had to buy the fatpack…not only did I love the shape and design but the colors are beautiful and each color comes with gold or silver bezels. For the rest of the jewelry I wanted sort of a mix of necklaces and these are from Atelier AM and Mandala. The purple gloves are from Royal blue by Marni Grut. I really like the way the cuffs on these look and they are wide enough to fit over other pieces (plus you can size the attachments which always helps). The purse which has been blogged many times now—so you must have already seen it—is one of the many mesh items from Maitreya. This mustard color was a special edition but it also comes in a lot of other wonderful colors. Details on everything after the cut. Well it may still be cold here but at least the sun is shining so I am going out! As always, for high-resolution versions of the photos, just click. See ya, Elisabeth

OK. I said I was sort of obsessed with this skirt. This is one of the other looks I put together with it. A more casual, younger look guaranteed to bring out your inner nerd but I thought it was fun so I decided to share. First, gotta love the Lucy Ricardo glasses, so very retro. The cardigan is from Tres Blah and with the small sparkles on the shoulder it makes it not-your-usual cardigan and I think it has a little retro look too. The shirt is actually made of pieces from two different shirts. I wanted the long shirt tail and belt from the Maitreya shirt but to make the collar work with the sweater I had to use an older one from Gisaci. The silver brogues (also from Leverocci) are another retro look really popular now…I ❤ brogues and I especially like them in this shiny silver version teamed with slouchy socks. Two bags were needed…. the small one to keep my pixel cash in and the larger one for important pixel stuff too big to fit in the other smaller bag. The large purse is from So Many Styles, sort of a doctor bag shape and the small one from TokiD. Some cool jewelry from DDL, 2 necklaces and a watch plus from Addict one of my favorite rings, a golden chocolate piece. Have a great week-end. See ya, Elisabeth

I know…my last post featured the same dress. I meant to do both of these at the same time and then disaster struck…almost no internet connections to be found while I was traveling. So I am back home and here it is (finally), another styling of the same yellow polka-dot dress from Wasted Youth. What inspired this styling was trying on the new hair by Toast Bard from the Hair Fair. I am a huge fan of all things by Toast; skins, clothes and most definitely hair. All her creations have just the right edge and humor. The hair comes with the hat although I added the bird (also in my last post)..yes, I really like that bird. I am wearing one of Mynerva’s new skins and I am in love with them….beautifully drawn and the faces are so sweet. The belt is a favorite from this year’s Lelutka collection as are the Pow pumps. A lot of the other items are classics. The gym bag from Lelutka, the Pashmina from Zaara and the necklace from Paper Couture. Anyway, I thought it was fun to style this versatile dress two totally different ways. It is always great to get something new (in this case the hair and hat) that sends you off in a totally different direction. Hope you like it too.
See ya, Elisabeth

A new release from Maitreya! Used to be that wearing socks with sandals was a big fashion no-no…but this year it is a huge trend. And I have to say I ❤ the new Allure sandals with the sock or tights option (or you can get them without)…and I love Onyx and Beau who created these little wonders. I have been waiting for something like this for months. And it should be no surprise that it comes from Maitreya. They are always on the forefront of the all things fashionable. I am also wearing one of their new Bra tops under the black Gisaci trench. Although with this outfit you can barely see the Bra top…they are gorgeous and come in loads of colors. (I myself couldn’t decide/resist and went for the fatpack.) The trench is a much-loved classic from my closet and still a big favorite. The glamorous page boy hair with hat is a new release from I Love Olive (this style is available only at Vita’s Boudoir). I Love Olive is making some of the most fun styles around these days…and I am a sucker for hats. The skin is a pre-release from Bella Di Notte. I can’t wait to see the other make-ups from the line…the face is really, really beautiful. Okay…I have to go now and try on more of the socks and sandal combination…..Details and landmarks after the cut.

I love the crispness of blue and white. Wearing it makes me want to go stand somewhere in the sunshine with a warm breeze blowing around me. Like on a dock overlooking some beautiful blue water. The dress is an old favorite, a simple white mini from Armidi worn with a jean jacket and white shirt from Aoharu layered over it. And no matter which way you look at it—from the front or the back—the Zaara necklace looks GREAT. Zaara also makes a matching bracelet that wraps the wrist and drapes down the hand. ❤ This is the turquoise stone necklace but it also comes in amethyst and onyx. A really simple look that makes the necklace pop. OK….got to go out into the sunshine. See ya, Elisabeth

I am a big accessory hound..YES, YES, YES. Of course, I love clothes…but for me the accessories are what really make the outfit your own. This is great time for all the accessory lovers out there because the 2010 Accessory Fair is taking place (March 6-27). The build by Babyhoney Bailey is really extraordinary. Big, beautiful, upscale New York City streets loaded with top-notch accessory shops—a real shopaholic’s dream. The streets are connected by a subway which transports you from one street to the next. Cool and very cute 🙂 This event is sponsored by Glance magazine along with SL’s social network website SecondNights.com and the popular fashion feed Shopaholicfeed.com.
I put together an outfit with a few of my favorites. I have also included a couple of shots of the sets that some of the pieces came from since I mixed and matched and you should definitely see them. From Perturbations, I am am wearing the earrings from the I’d Give My Life for You “Miss Saigon” set which was especially made for the fair. I really, really love the glasses around the neck from Sissi. (They are color change and you can change the glasses, beads, feathers and make all kinds of combinations. <3) And from Haunted Zuzu, I used the Crystal Bloom flower from the set of the same name. So these are just the first of many of my favorites I will be sharing with you over the next few days. Now go and shop….and enjoy the fair! Taxi here.Details and landmarks after the cut:

Sometimes it’s a color that starts an outfit. In this case I wanted to wear the beautiful blue Lelutka jacket and I started there. Everything I am wearing was already in my “closet” except for my wonderful new hair and hat from Lamb! The boots from J’s are fairly new too. I did buy the fatpack which gives you all the color choices. I know when I bought it I thought I would never need the blue boots but… here they are and the color is great… not really too blue, a tasteful blue-grey color. 🙂 The detailing on these boots is exceptional and they come in two versions, the one I am wearing and a shorter one to wear with pants. Good idea! I had to include a snapshot with the detail of the hose from Tyranny. I especially love them with the cute, cute bows and the stitching detail on the back. I have a weakness for hose, socks and tights so when I found these I bought every color….They are really versatile too, high enough that you can wear them under skirts or knee-length pants without seeing the band at the top. I added one of the Zaara embroided shawls that came out last year and that I still adore…they are so beautiful. The jacket is layered over an old stand-by, the Armidi Gisaci Rainy Day dress. I have this in several colors and it makes a great wardrobe staple. So this may be a little summery for the newly cool weather here in the Northern hemisphere but hey, it’s still warm in Phil’s world!
