Taking the ferry home…

January 22, 2012

These photos were taken at the wonderful “Ferry” created by AM Radio.  Unhappily, it is no longer there but at least I got a few shots before it disappeared. All of Am Radio’s sim designs were/are iconic and I have been lucky enough to experience all of them.  We are fortunate that some are still on the grid to be appreciated. If you have been under a rock or are new to the virtual world then by all means search out some of his work. I made these pictures a while back but never posted. I know these are not just-released items but they are all great designs and I loved the Ferry so I when I found the photos I decided to post them. I had been obsessed with the hat from LaGyo and it was the inspiration for the outfit. It seemed a perfect match with the cinched linen high-waisted pants by Irene Campesi from So Many Styles.  Then I found the wonderful top by Leezu Baxter. Just beautiful! Also from LaGyo is the wicker bag with circle handle (which comes in many color choices) and the fantastic pink earrings! The earrings are color change so you can always make them work with your outfit. I really love everything Gyorgina does and her hats and bags this year have been just brilliant. The shoes from Aoharu Anexx are great little suede wedges with leather fringes and just a little toe showing. To finish it all off are some amber bracelets and a bobble ring from another great jewelry maker, Zaara Kohime.

Yes, plenty cold and lots of the white stuff falling. But we can stay toasty and warm with all the cute furs and winter gear around the grid right now. I love the all-white looks for snow. And now you can even find skins made for winter. Gala Phoenix at Curio has done some really cute skins that look as though you have been out in the cold with rosy cheeks and flushed skin. This one even has frosty white eyeshadow to match the sparkly snow. ❤ The fur stole from DP yumyum with the little fringe trim is perfect for keeping the shoulders covered and the shiny pants from Lelutka are definitely  on my favorite list.  They are beautifully rendered and look great in every color. Here they are perfect apres-ski pants but put them with heels and they are sexy and sleek. Kookies’ boots are just yummy….and they come in so many colors, you won’t be able to choose!  Details on the rest of the outfit are listed after the cut. Take care and stay warm!

Aoharu headshot Frame2I promised no more pink but —Oops— I still ended up in pink jeans. Well at least the rest is black and white. None of this is new I know, all of these things were items I had in inventory and put together. I have been cleaning and sorting inventory lately and trying not to buy new stuff until I get the closet cleaned out. I don’t even know what I have in there. But as I dig I keep finding all kinds of good things. It is sort of like shopping without the pain of spending. 🙂 The starting point with this outfit came when I found this hair-with-hat combination that I bought ages ago and then never wore. Why not you ask? ’Cause I didn’t remember it was there!!  Yes, I am a little frustrated… I need a new system for sorting things in my closet.  Well ok, I am still working on it.

Anyway, the beautiful hat and hair from ::69:: started it off and I decided to wear my black Aoharu velvet jacket that I love…it has a great shape. I found a cute sheer blouse from Pink Outfitters that I hadn’t worn yet to layer under it and the beautiful vest is from fri.day and it comes on all layers (yay) and is nice and long. The pink (!) jeans are from Emery and I love the way the wrinkles are…so, so wrinkled…just like I get in rl.

accessories black velvet and white camelias

The Maitreya desert boots rock and I pulled on a pair of fat nubby white socks to go with them.  Oh and of course the beautiful white patent camelia brooch from COCO &CO (just like the rl Chanel one). And only 50 lindens! It comes in black patent and fabric tweeds too. The only new thing I am wearing is a Curio skin that I really love. I have been a fan of Gala Phoenix forever and recently this new skin, Beach, was introduced. It has to be my favorite from Curio to date. It even comes in two different make-up lines. 😀 Anyway that is why I did the portrait shot, so you could see this lovely skin.

Soooooo…back to closet sorting…I can’t wait to find some great little surprises.

❤ Elisabeth

It was pouring here today in rl soooooo, I hunted around for this really cute raincoat I bought some while back and got myself decked out in it. It is really cute with its clear prim bottom and stand-up collar. I needed a little sunshine hence the bright yellow top, the yellow tartan scarf from Muism and the hat/hair from ::69::, ( I modified the hat by changing the texture). OK… ’nuff said.

See ya,
Elisabeth
