Channeling Tippi Hedren while taking my little dog for a walk, things got a little frightening (!) but at least I was wearing some of my favorite new mesh items. I love the Harris coat from S h i. Here I have not worn all the attachments so it looks more like a short jacket with elbow length sleeves. I like the short sort of casualness of it and the little touch of luxury with the fur collar. (It is gorgeous as a full coat and comes with two variations of the sleeves and I am sure most of you have seen it as it has been blogged a lot.) The skin tight leather pants are part of Maitreya’s mesh offerings. They are beautifully detailed and come in several dark and subtle color variations. The shoes are called Treaders …. I seriously love the rubber soles and slightly chunky look. They are also from Maitreya and are not mesh nor do they come with the foot in them so you can add your own socks—yay—which I did. I am loving the scarf from Zaara…it was part of the final 50 linden Friday. (So sorry that is gone.) It looks like a great Hermes scarf. The Cinch Belt is by Gospel Voom and as always with his creations, beautifully designed and crafted. I tried not to go overboard with the jewelry…the earrings from LaGyo make such a bold statement you don’t need much else so I limited it to some great rings and a little bracelet. Kept it simple with a classic purse in ostrich from Fleshtone so it wouldn’t compete with my dog carrier bag from Zoobies. OK got to run..the birds……….. As always click on any photo for a hi-res version and more detail! See ya, Elisabeth

OK. I said I was sort of obsessed with this skirt. This is one of the other looks I put together with it. A more casual, younger look guaranteed to bring out your inner nerd but I thought it was fun so I decided to share. First, gotta love the Lucy Ricardo glasses, so very retro. The cardigan is from Tres Blah and with the small sparkles on the shoulder it makes it not-your-usual cardigan and I think it has a little retro look too. The shirt is actually made of pieces from two different shirts. I wanted the long shirt tail and belt from the Maitreya shirt but to make the collar work with the sweater I had to use an older one from Gisaci. The silver brogues (also from Leverocci) are another retro look really popular now…I ❤ brogues and I especially like them in this shiny silver version teamed with slouchy socks. Two bags were needed…. the small one to keep my pixel cash in and the larger one for important pixel stuff too big to fit in the other smaller bag. The large purse is from So Many Styles, sort of a doctor bag shape and the small one from TokiD. Some cool jewelry from DDL, 2 necklaces and a watch plus from Addict one of my favorite rings, a golden chocolate piece. Have a great week-end. See ya, Elisabeth

I have been obsessing with this Leverocci skirt and have made about 10 outfits with it. I don’t know why. I really love the skirt but I for some reason I was fascinated with how it could look so different with different styling. This look might be my favorite, but I don’t know. I do know I LOVE the big, oversized sweater-jacket from Mr. Poet. Not only is it mesh and one of the best looking things I have seen but …are you ready?…it is free! And it comes in a box of three colors. The sweater I have on under it is also from Mr. Poet and is part of the CapeCoat outfit. It is made for men so be prepared to resize the old way, piece by piece. Still, I love the styling so I think it is worth it. The boots have been blogged a lot but…oh…aren’t they beautiful? From Maitreya and they too are rigged mesh. The purse is LaGyo. One of several color combinations in this style. I love black and white so this might be my favorite. The wonderful earrings are Paper Couture and are as always….from the Lu sisters…fabulous. I really searched for the right necklace and in the end I loved the tram necklace made of a big soft fabric bow.

In the darkest of nights the jewelry with the most sparkle is the way to go…even with jeans these fabulous sparklies look great. I usually buy things in sl that I would want in rl if it were possible and for sure…these I would want! Ditto for the boots, I absolutely love these! The Lu sisters have outdone themselves once again. The long sweater is from TokiD, it hangs beautifully and comes in a myriad of wonderful colors. By the way you will notice that the last picture has a different color lipstick. I put that in because I love the way just a tattoo layer can change the skin so much. Pididdle has some great lipsticks in wonderful unusual colors that work well with most skins so…. go have a look. I actually started this look with the great hair from Tram. You gotta love the bobby pins and the chic little bob. And of course the purse…mesh from Leverocci…pure beauty.

I adore Anya Ohmai’s darling little “fox” stole. And yes…it is faux fur (and of course it is faux, faux fur being pixels and all). She has done an amazing job with this piece….and I love the retro-ness of it. I am wearing it with some fabulous mesh items from Celoe. These pants are just wonderful. Love the shape, the texture, the shading and since they are mesh is is so cool to be able to sit in them and they actually still look like pants! The jacket is also Celoe…once again great technical work with the shape and artistic work with the textures and if either of these were available in rl I would be adding them to my closet. The travel bag is from Mon Tissue—shown here in camel but it comes in other super fun colors so you can always travel in style. The off-white handbag is from Orta. I added some favorite “oldies” to the mix including Dango’s beret by Azure Electricteeth, the fun Fly Earrings by Polyester Partridge, Paper Couture’s huge Moon Ring and LaGyo’s gorgeous bracelets.

I smell winter coming. Even in the virtual world, furry hats and boots and warm coats are starting to appear. Leluka had some new releases this week and I fell truly, madly, deeply in love with this lumberjack coat. The bell shape that swirls out, the strong plaid fabric and the huge fur collar make it a real winner. I had just bought the fur hat from tram which happens to be a perfect match. The hat comes with and without (as worn here) a bow that ties under your neck. The boots are from DPYumYum. They have been in my closet for a year but..Wow..I think they are the same plaid. \o/ The hair is from BarberYumyum (modded to fit under the hat) and is new. I love the way some of the prim bits in this hair move when you turn your head…so pretty! The necklace is from Yummy. I have so many of Polyester Partridge’s creations..all of them are so cute…this one is a bunch of charms on a gold chain. ❤ (I think I would buy them just because I love her name.) The skinny wrap belt is an old favorite from Shiny Things. It has a little pouch on it for your virtual money. More details and landmarks after the cut. Who would have thought? A fantastic Frank Lloyd Wright museum exists in our pixel world. I found it merely by chance by but I enjoyed the museum as well as visiting the virtual recreations of some of Wright’s famous residential buildings. There is even a museum store where you can buy recreations of furniture, posters, lamps and virtual books. It is educational, beautiful and really worth seeing!
And my g0-to-the -museum attire? The look was inspired by a couple of different things. The first was the pillbox hat by Epoque with it’s peacock feather trim. The second was the sweater and pin from Surf Couture (a 50 linden Friday item). I added the BettyPage Voyager jean jacket and the chiffon skirt from So Many Styles. (The skirt is a staple in my closet..I love the realistic layers and it comes in many colors as well as a subtle dotted pattern.) I think accessories make the outfit… so not one but two gorgeous rings…one from Zaara and the other from Paper Couture. Feathers became a theme….there are feathers on the necklace from Atelier AM and the earrings from Pididdle are peacock feathers that match the one on the hat. And Valena Glushenko’s (Orta) wonderful Stella clutch adds a little punch of color.
More credits and landmarks after the cut. And forgive me all the pictures but I wanted to show the museum as well as the outfit (the first one and the last two are at the museum). And by all means go check it our if you get a chance!
