OK. I said I was sort of obsessed with this skirt. This is one of the other looks I put together with it. A more casual, younger look guaranteed to bring out your inner nerd but I thought it was fun so I decided to share. First, gotta love the Lucy Ricardo glasses, so very retro. The cardigan is from Tres Blah and with the small sparkles on the shoulder it makes it not-your-usual cardigan and I think it has a little retro look too. The shirt is actually made of pieces from two different shirts. I wanted the long shirt tail and belt from the Maitreya shirt but to make the collar work with the sweater I had to use an older one from Gisaci. The silver brogues (also from Leverocci) are another retro look really popular now…I ❤ brogues and I especially like them in this shiny silver version teamed with slouchy socks. Two bags were needed…. the small one to keep my pixel cash in and the larger one for important pixel stuff too big to fit in the other smaller bag. The large purse is from So Many Styles, sort of a doctor bag shape and the small one from TokiD. Some cool jewelry from DDL, 2 necklaces and a watch plus from Addict one of my favorite rings, a golden chocolate piece. Have a great week-end. See ya, Elisabeth

I love the new ruffled boleros by G. Fields. She has a free version (in pumpkin color) at her store..I liked it so much I trotted right down to buy the fatpack. It is shown here with long sleeves but it also comes in a mid-sleeve and cap-sleeve version (also with ruffles) and you can wear it with or without the ruffled collar which makes it really versatile. A great staple for any closet.
The other new item here is the super cute short dress (worn as a top) from SK Designs. The package comes with two different patterns, both for only 150 lindens (what a bargain). All this is layered over a blouse from Zaara.
And accessories are important here..I tried to pile as many on as possible. 😀 The asymmetrical hat is from Coco and the big bow scarf from Miel. It is great…comes with changeable color textures and built-in resizing script. Also..I want to thank say a big thanks to Sasy Scarborough for her help while I was working on this post….she let me use her pose stands and fixed mine that I somehow had broken. So thanks Sasy…big hugs. Read more details and landmarks listed after the cut!

After several weeks of traveling, then coming home and then taking off again..I can’t seem to get back into the groove. I don’t know if it is the heat or just general laziness but it is a struggle to get motivated. I have been logging in but not spending much time. So, I decided to jump back in and do a post or two and see if that doesn’t do the trick. Maybe part of the problem is that when I log in there are so many great new things that it is hard to catch up. All I want to do is shop—oh well, what’s new? I have a theory that one week in sl is like a four in rl….so if you are gone for two months, it is really more like 8 months..and a lot can happen in 8 months.
These are some pictures I took a few weeks ago and the items that make up the outfit aren’t really new releases now. But I like the outfit and thought I would share. I absolutely love the big braid from Truth and modded it a bit to fit under one of my favorite hats from Lelutka. This hat was released last year but it comes in so many gorgeous colors that it is a summer must-have. The Zaara jewelry is amazing(<3 Zaara Kohime)…it really goes with so many things. I think here it adds a needed bit more color to the whole look. The jacket is from Maitreya and is worn over a jumpsuit (part of a dress) from Doppleganger— great fabric and simple design. More details on items and landmarks after the cut. And more posts to come soon.

Well not really but with a name like Cell Block Blazer it sort of makes sense. Kendall Freenote, designer of Wasted Youth, has been churning out some super cute new additions to her already super cute inventory. I love this blazer. I found so many ways to wear it…but this was my favorite. A totally black and white look with only the ribbon on the hat from Epoque adding a note of red. The leggings/pants are from Emery and I love the detail of the belt drawn on….beautiful!! I added the new lariat pearl rope and pearl necklaces in black from Aya Huldschinsky (Atleir AM) and a zebra skin purse from Paper Couture. The black and white oxford tie shoes from Coco finish it off. More looks to post soon from Wasted Youth. Go check it out. Details and landmarks after the cute. A quick post….something comfy for hanging out…what I am wearing in sl today…. and what I might wear in rl today if only it were in my closet. Love the big loose shirt from Mr. Poet (check the tie in the back <3) and the Panu shoes from Picnic—so soft, soft, soft and they look like Bambi 😮 (They also come in several other textures. I couldn’t resist, I had to buy them all.) The little bag is from DCCXXII and it comes as shown or with a shoulder strap. All the bags from DCCXXII are just fantastic. They are scripted for a couple of color changes and to change the color of the metal trim. You should go take a look. Going back to hanging around now…Happy Week-End! Elisabeth

I am a big accessory hound..YES, YES, YES. Of course, I love clothes…but for me the accessories are what really make the outfit your own. This is great time for all the accessory lovers out there because the 2010 Accessory Fair is taking place (March 6-27). The build by Babyhoney Bailey is really extraordinary. Big, beautiful, upscale New York City streets loaded with top-notch accessory shops—a real shopaholic’s dream. The streets are connected by a subway which transports you from one street to the next. Cool and very cute 🙂 This event is sponsored by Glance magazine along with SL’s social network website SecondNights.com and the popular fashion feed Shopaholicfeed.com.
I put together an outfit with a few of my favorites. I have also included a couple of shots of the sets that some of the pieces came from since I mixed and matched and you should definitely see them. From Perturbations, I am am wearing the earrings from the I’d Give My Life for You “Miss Saigon” set which was especially made for the fair. I really, really love the glasses around the neck from Sissi. (They are color change and you can change the glasses, beads, feathers and make all kinds of combinations. <3) And from Haunted Zuzu, I used the Crystal Bloom flower from the set of the same name. So these are just the first of many of my favorites I will be sharing with you over the next few days. Now go and shop….and enjoy the fair! Taxi here.Details and landmarks after the cut:

I promised no more pink but —Oops— I still ended up in pink jeans. Well at least the rest is black and white. None of this is new I know, all of these things were items I had in inventory and put together. I have been cleaning and sorting inventory lately and trying not to buy new stuff until I get the closet cleaned out. I don’t even know what I have in there. But as I dig I keep finding all kinds of good things. It is sort of like shopping without the pain of spending. 🙂 The starting point with this outfit came when I found this hair-with-hat combination that I bought ages ago and then never wore. Why not you ask? ’Cause I didn’t remember it was there!! Yes, I am a little frustrated… I need a new system for sorting things in my closet. Well ok, I am still working on it.
Anyway, the beautiful hat and hair from ::69:: started it off and I decided to wear my black Aoharu velvet jacket that I love…it has a great shape. I found a cute sheer blouse from Pink Outfitters that I hadn’t worn yet to layer under it and the beautiful vest is from fri.day and it comes on all layers (yay) and is nice and long. The pink (!) jeans are from Emery and I love the way the wrinkles are…so, so wrinkled…just like I get in rl.
The Maitreya desert boots rock and I pulled on a pair of fat nubby white socks to go with them. Oh and of course the beautiful white patent camelia brooch from COCO &CO (just like the rl Chanel one). And only 50 lindens! It comes in black patent and fabric tweeds too. The only new thing I am wearing is a Curio skin that I really love. I have been a fan of Gala Phoenix forever and recently this new skin, Beach, was introduced. It has to be my favorite from Curio to date. It even comes in two different make-up lines. 😀 Anyway that is why I did the portrait shot, so you could see this lovely skin.
Soooooo…back to closet sorting…I can’t wait to find some great little surprises.
