Silvery Spring
March 28, 2010
Finally Spring seems to have decided to make an appearance. And with it lots of lovely new items that make it feel welcome and me feel happy. I am absolutely in love with Zaara’s clear jewelry. It is so, so, so amazing and I keep wearing it with everything. The detail is nothing short of miraculous. I have tried to give you a good idea here of how special it really is..so forgive the picture spam. I love the silvery leaves embedded in the beads of the necklace and in the bracelets and the light and airy look of the earrings made of the same silver leaves and little pearls. (It also comes in amber, see photo here.) I usually put together an outfit and then accessorize it but in this case I started with the jewelry and built the outfit around it. It was a chance to wear a wonderful skirt from Malt that I love and the Michami Carmela bustier and cardi. And finally…NEW SHOES!! From Courtisane, these shoes are to die for. The platform shape, the colors and the fringed leather at the ankle (which is optional, you get a pair without the fringes too). I showed you a few of the colors but not all…there are a lot! Go check them our and take your lindens because you will want some! As always click on any photo for a larger, more detailed image.
Mi-Mi-Mi-Mimikri!
September 27, 2009
Wow! I just found my all-time favorite leather jacket! Mimikri Kit has really outdone herself this time. When I got a notecard announcing new arrivals I went over to take a look. Everything was wonderful and I bought a lot of other things but this jacket…oh this jacket is really inspired. I wish I could rez it right here in my RL! I think it has the look of Chanel—probably the quilted leather and pearls. And it comes in black, white, blue, red, plum, blush and nude. (Bet you can’t buy just one) I have been wearing it for 3 days straight and I made a few outfits with. Thought I’d show you just 2. One with pants and one with a short skirt. Enjoy…and go take a look at Mimikri …take your lindens…you will want them.
Sweetest Hello
May 31, 2009
I was so excited when I got the notice that Sweetest Goodbye was having a sale! It is a great store with wonderful style and the quality is impeccable. I already had a lot of their items in my inventory but couldn’t wait to add a few more. I had been wanting this tiny skirt for a while but had not bought it so it was the first thing I put in my shopping bag! And I really love it, the detailing, the cute prim pockets on the side with the little drawstrings hanging down and the underwear that shows just slightly above the low-riding mini. It’s a simple look that I wanted to sweeten a little with the sweet, sweet hair from Cumu. This updo also comes in the same style but with flowers added around the back which makes it even sweeter. (Not shown here but go check it out if you haven’t been there yet.)
The Michami Glam top has become a staple in my wardrobe, not only is it beautifully textured but it is tintable which gives it so much flexibility and…. it comes on layers too. Yay for layers! The scarf is also from Michami. I have a weakness for accessories and am afraid to count how many scarfs I have in my inventory but I must say these scarfs are among my favorites. They wrap just right and have a wonderful slightly shiny texture. I was amazed at how well the P.C Springtime earrings matched the whole lot with a sort of orange cast to the gold and I like the large size with this simple little outfit. So if you haven’t been over to Sweetest Goodbye, go right away and pick up some of the favorites you have been lusting after!
La Vie en Rose…erm..no…en Denim
May 26, 2009
It’s getting hot now and I feel like summery short skirts and cotton shirts…casual and fun…something to wear for a day spent drinking coffee at a cafe, doing a little shopping and hanging out with friends. The other day I was with Sachi Vixen, the wonderful clothing designer from Adam n Eve, while she was putting the finishing touches on this striped cotton shirt and I love the way it turned out! This one is in melon (a yummy color) and it comes in many others—all of them are soft and summery. The shirt also has cute prim cuffs but I opted to wear bracelets instead …we really need more attachment points!! I looove this denim skirt. The texturing is great and the length is definitely perfect for a hot summer day.
I added Maitreya’s Coin Belt which seems to look great with just about everything and Zaara’s new stacked bracelets (a must-have if you love bracelets and they too are available in many color combinations). I’m wearing some of my favorite Armidi platform sandals and a super cute new purse from Bare Rose. Here I am carrying the brown but there are 4 other colors. So now I’m off for an iced coffee. See ya!

Fashionable Relay Challenge #29
April 8, 2009
Whoa…this has been a long wait! Lots of participants and so much fun watching everyone “do their thing” and then pass on the baton—each person creating new looks from one piece chosen from the previous blogger’s outfit. I kept nervously checking to see when it would be my turn and as luck would have it when my turn finally arrived—I had rl constantly pulling me away from the job at hand. Finally I got to it. When I saw the super cute and colorful outfit Nissa Nightfire put together my first thought was ohhhh…cool pants, have to have them —and I raced out to buy them (got the fatpack). But I also bought the RunoRuno tank and after I tried it on I knew it would be the item. I love the texture and the way the straps fall down around the shoulders. I loved it so much in fact that I made more than one outfit with it. I like to explore all the options so I shot several versions and here is one of them. I will blog another one…since hey….! I already did all the work! But this is my Official Fashion Relay outfit.
Super casual, the plaid shirt from Thimbles is layered over my favorite tank top from Michami. This whole look is about accessories and these are some of my favs. The bracelet from Yummy is super cute with the heart charms and is scripted to color change the bands. For the cross necklace I had to go to Cardianal Sin. A great place to check out in case you need any Ecclesiastical vestements. The hat and hair are from ETD and the dockers which are really amazing are by Hoorenbeek. The tote is from Polina Kaestler who has opened her new main store and the gorgeous belt from Coco.
Thanks to Sasy Scarborough for coming up with this challenge….just one of the many, many incredible things she does! And now I pass the baton to an SL Icon…the beautiful, talented and famous Callie Cline…..(and I must say one of the most generous and nicest designers in our SL world.) Click on any of the photos for a larger version and more detail.
More Pashmina
November 15, 2008
I love these pashminas so much….I had to post just one more of these. If you see me around the grid in the next few hours, er..ehm…days I will probably be wearing one. This one is the peaches and cream and I threw it on with Last Call Jodphers and an Aoharu leather jacket. These shawls are so pixeliscious!

Autumn Leaves
November 10, 2008
The air is crisp today, I can smell woodsmoke from fireplaces, but it’s still warm in the sun…the sparkling colors of autumn are everywhere and I felt inspired by them. I love this Bolero sweater with its scarf and hood from Ibizarre in the golden brown and started with that. The rest just fell into place. The super-cute tartan muggies are soft and comfy and feel like fall. The key necklace with the mandarin colored garnet is from the Miriel hunt when she opened her new sim and the detailing is awesome…same with the belt from Shiny Things…. I always love it when I put it on. Tail-gate party anyone?
