Tempus Fugit

October 4, 2010

Yes…time is flying and there is shopping to be done. With lots of new items on the grid, autumn is always a fun time. Not too much to say today…other than I love the new handbags from Lelutka and the new hair they released this week!  The fluffy dress is from Wasted Youth and my coat is an old-but-still-wonderful stand-by from Aoharu! Kookies boots are a recent release—a new take on her Armarda boots…a longer version. I love them. The earrings are pretty special…a recent release from Ticky Tacky. And as always, Paper Couture has some great new stuff including the cool Moon ring and new tortoise shades. More details and landmarks after the cut. See ya, Elisabeth

Out of a Dream….

August 1, 2010

This look was inspired by several things; this tiny, tiny little skirt from Liberty Shinn at LP Design (it comes in many other colors) and the flowered crop jacket from La Maison Kaestner <3 (here i just wore the chest part to make it a little vest).  Fashionboi Landar from House of Fox created the black leather bra and the sheer top (these are from older releases). HOF is really doing amazing and uber-creative couture work. If you haven’t been, go check it out. This wonderful updo called Maya is newly released from I Love Olive. Look at the back! Beautiful.
The photos were shot at the Zero sim and in the end they all had a sort of dream-like quality helped along by the beautiful poses by Del May—hence the name of the post. All details and landmarks below the cut.

Knit Me Up

February 26, 2010

I admit it…it has been a long time since my last post. Busy at work, busy at home and basically lacking inspiration.  But I have been shopping and finding some wonderful stuff. Hooray! It is not all new….so you have probably seen some of these pieces before. Anyway, I love this new dress/top from Lelutka. The sculpting shapes are great and I love the knit textures. It comes with a wonderful belt that has an attached purse… but here I chose to put it with one of my favorite Maitreya belts. The hair and scarf are also Maitreya and they too are fabulously sculpted! The boots are recent releases from Kookie, Wow! Can she get any better? They are fantastic… I love the socks peeking out over the top them.  From YS&YS is the purse in snow leopard. It rocks! I’ve blogged it before but it has to be one of my favorite bags. If you haven’t been there to see the bags and shoes, go check them out.  I also included a large snapshot to show the new skin from Curio. <3 This is the new Cupid line and as always with Curio, it is beautiful!  (To see any of the photos larger just click on them.)

See ya,
Elisabeth

I <3 Toasty Textures

December 10, 2009

In the deep, dark of December we all love the thick, rich textures of warm sweaters and coats. Well at least I do. These two outfits are a mix of both new and old pieces and I chose all of them for the wonderful textures and shapes. Certainly one thing that has evolved a lot over the past year is the sheer inventiveness of all the wonderful sculpty clothes and accessories. I think Cocoro Lemon from Coco makes some of the most interesting examples around. This bulky red sweater layered over it’s own blouse is just one example. <3  The laced up boots from Anexx in red and Kookies’ Athena black short boot are more fabulous masterpieces of sculpting and texturing. The twill coat from M.R.M. has been in my closet for a while now but is still a big favorite….it has a fantastic herringbone texture so realistic, it practically makes me itch.  Showing from beneath the coat is the bottom prim from a Milk Motion tee.  Both tops are layered over full skirts. I love the way the skirts look under these shaped tops! I don’t want to forget the  purses…they are both fairly new releases…The red ruffly one (a 50 linden Friday item <3) is from Tres Blah and it comes in several other colors. The other is from YS&YS. The one shown here is in snow leopard but it comes in both plain leather or in different fur textures in several colors. Oh and as a bonus it comes stuffed with its own reading materials stuffed inside. :) You should most definitely check out the bags and shoes at YS&YS  if you haven’t already! (They make beautiful skins too).  Anyway, I am loving the cold weather and all the lovely new clothes and accessories hitting the stores this month. Hope you are too!

Yes, plenty cold and lots of the white stuff falling. But we can stay toasty and warm with all the cute furs and winter gear around the grid right now. I love the all-white looks for snow. And now you can even find skins made for winter. Gala Phoenix at Curio has done some really cute skins that look as though you have been out in the cold with rosy cheeks and flushed skin. This one even has frosty white eyeshadow to match the sparkly snow. <3 The fur stole from DP yumyum with the little fringe trim is perfect for keeping the shoulders covered and the shiny pants from Lelutka are definitely  on my favorite list.  They are beautifully rendered and look great in every color. Here they are perfect apres-ski pants but put them with heels and they are sexy and sleek. Kookies’ boots are just yummy….and they come in so many colors, you won’t be able to choose!  Details on the rest of the outfit are listed after the cut. Take care and stay warm!

Ocean, Raspberry, Lemongrass

I recently wrote a post about a favorite fun party dress, “Adrianna” from Stitch by Stitch. I love the creativity of  Sevenstar Amat, designer of Stitch By Stitch and decided to do a second post about another of my favorites from her store. What I love about this dress is that it comes in great colors, it has a wonderful full skirt with a poufy net underskirt that shows just a little, and a little rose and bead decoration at the waist. The fabric has a slightly watery texture like big drops of rain had fallen on it. The netting on the underskirt has lot of little pieces of colored fabric attached that adds a little extra color. <3   This dress really lends itself to accessorizing. So I took three colors from my closet and did them all up a little differently.

OceanThe first look is the dress in all it’s adorable cuteness just as it is. All I added was the wide patent belt. The hat/hair is a new one from Argrace picked up at the hair fair, I love the way the hair is swept around and hangs over one shoulder!  The tats give the outfit a little edge..if you haven’t been to Tattoo World, go check it out….they have so many fantastic ones. The shoes aren’t really new but they are sooo cute from Kookie’s.

More stitches red

The Raspberry dress is a yummy color. The little jacket is a blouse from Digit Darkes and I <3 the little pleats and the sheerness of it. The super cute clutch from Atelier AM has a pearled chain handle and a tiny bow at the closure. The hair is another great one from Lamb! Gotta love the sweeping side bangs and how it is starting to come loose on one side.

Three girls green

The Lemongrass has to be my favorite. The color is amazing. The kitten heels from 50 flats are a perfect match and the sweater from Mischief is so cute and well done. I was really happy with this combination, lots of layers and my favorite hair from the hairfair by Dernier Cri.

Hope you like them,
<3 Elisabeth

Maltie Goodness

June 18, 2009

close up Malt purple jacketMalt recently released some incredibly cute suede jackets and skirts. You can buy them separately so mixing and mashing is easy. And the jacket is not just a jacket but can work as a vest, or a short sleeve jacket as well. There are several colors—all wonderful! Here I put together a couple of different looks with just two of the colors. I love the detail (hand stitching) and the suede texture is so fantastic I want to rub my pixel fingers all over it….soft!!! worn under it is one of the cutest tops around right now from Kookies— the Twiggy vest. It comes on all layers so you can wear it under, over, tucked in or out. I love it when designers give us that option…makes all the difference in putting things together. The Malt skirt and jacket also come on multiple layers. :)3 malt skirt and jacket

For the second version I made a super casual jeans look with the Raffia colored “vest”. I am wearing another vest under it..and a blouse under that for maximum layering fun.  Anyway, this is another winner from Malt and I think Khea Karas is one of the best designers in sl right now. Always raising the bar with her styles and textures. The fit on the skirt is really amazing and the belt is available as a separate piece too so you can use it with other outfits. Yay! The jeans are from Malt too and I love the way they fit. Oh and the hair from Foam (first look) is new to me. I love it. Nice and full and yet wispy too. If you haven’t been to Foam go it check out —they have lots of cute hair.

Drop One, Purl Two….

March 1, 2009

knitting3b2

I think that is how it goes. Yes, Elisabeth has taken up knitting. But that sock just won’t be finished…..whatever… I guess it is the busy work for the hands that counts. True… at this rate I will be hitting up all the sock stores in sl if I need more. I found this knitting set in my inventory and realized I bought it ages ago and had never unpacked the yarn. The set comes with cute carrying bag, sock, knitting needles and animation. (The yarn is my own.)  Find the set from Rosalind Wriggleworth here. I am wearing a casual, comfy look with lots of (!) knits. The dress is from Anuenue (so sweet) and the bolero knit shrug from Ibizarre. (The texture on these shrugs is beautiful, like all the textures from that store.) The tights were knitted by Kurotsubaki and come in a pack of great colors. I love the big dots. I don’t wear ughs in RL but for some reason I love them in Sl and own way too many.

Okies…so back to my knitting

Autumn Leaves

November 10, 2008

fall_outfitblog

The air is crisp today, I can smell woodsmoke from fireplaces, but it’s still warm in the sun…the sparkling colors of autumn are everywhere and I felt inspired by them. I love this Bolero sweater with its scarf and hood from Ibizarre in the golden brown and started with that. The rest just fell into place. The super-cute tartan muggies are soft and comfy and feel like fall. The key necklace with the mandarin colored garnet is from the Miriel hunt when she opened her new sim and the detailing is awesome…same with the belt from Shiny Things…. I always love it when I put it on. Tail-gate party anyone?
