Well not really but with a name like Cell Block Blazer it sort of makes sense. Kendall Freenote, designer of Wasted Youth, has been churning out some super cute new additions to her already super cute inventory. I love this blazer. I found so many ways to wear it…but this was my favorite. A totally black and white look with only the ribbon on the hat from Epoque adding a note of red. The leggings/pants are from Emery and I love the detail of the belt drawn on….beautiful!! I added the new lariat pearl rope and pearl necklaces in black from Aya Huldschinsky (Atleir AM) and a zebra skin purse from Paper Couture. The black and white oxford tie shoes from Coco finish it off. More looks to post soon from Wasted Youth. Go check it out. Details and landmarks after the cute. For a closer look, just click on the photos for a higher resolution image. See ya, Elisabeth

A new release from Maitreya! Used to be that wearing socks with sandals was a big fashion no-no…but this year it is a huge trend. And I have to say I <3 the new Allure sandals with the sock or tights option (or you can get them without)…and I love Onyx and Beau who created these little wonders. I have been waiting for something like this for months. And it should be no surprise that it comes from Maitreya. They are always on the forefront of the all things fashionable. I am also wearing one of their new Bra tops under the black Gisaci trench. Although with this outfit you can barely see the Bra top…they are gorgeous and come in loads of colors. (I myself couldn’t decide/resist and went for the fatpack.) The trench is a much-loved classic from my closet and still a big favorite. The glamorous page boy hair with hat is a new release from I Love Olive (this style is available only at Vita’s Boudoir). I Love Olive is making some of the most fun styles around these days…and I am a sucker for hats. The skin is a pre-release from Bella Di Notte. I can’t wait to see the other make-ups from the line…the face is really, really beautiful. Okay…I have to go now and try on more of the socks and sandal combination…..Details and landmarks after the cut.

Wearing this military jacket from Coco makes me feel all, well… all military. So a lot of “YES Sirs” and “NO Sirs” and saluting—whatever. And La Gyo’s Unico hat….sort of military goes sparkley. I guess the shoes aren’t very military, I can’t see anyone doing maneuvers in heels this high but they are cute aren’t they? Also from La Gyo, the cute, vintagey-looking necklace with the antique car picture and little white ribbon on it. The purse and belt are both from YS&YS …great design, well-fitted, textured and sculpted. I know I talk about quality a lot but if something is not well-done, what is the point? We are in a pixel world here and there are so many talented designers out there now that we don’t have to settle for anything less than great. Not much more to say, oh except “At Ease!”

I admit it…it has been a long time since my last post. Busy at work, busy at home and basically lacking inspiration. But I have been shopping and finding some wonderful stuff. Hooray! It is not all new….so you have probably seen some of these pieces before. Anyway, I love this new dress/top from Lelutka. The sculpting shapes are great and I love the knit textures. It comes with a wonderful belt that has an attached purse… but here I chose to put it with one of my favorite Maitreya belts. The hair and scarf are also Maitreya and they too are fabulously sculpted! The boots are recent releases from Kookie, Wow! Can she get any better? They are fantastic… I love the socks peeking out over the top them. From YS&YS is the purse in snow leopard. It rocks! I’ve blogged it before but it has to be one of my favorite bags. If you haven’t been there to see the bags and shoes, go check them out. I also included a large snapshot to show the new skin from Curio. <3 This is the new Cupid line and as always with Curio, it is beautiful! (To see any of the photos larger just click on them.)

Yes, plenty cold and lots of the white stuff falling. But we can stay toasty and warm with all the cute furs and winter gear around the grid right now. I love the all-white looks for snow. And now you can even find skins made for winter. Gala Phoenix at Curio has done some really cute skins that look as though you have been out in the cold with rosy cheeks and flushed skin. This one even has frosty white eyeshadow to match the sparkly snow. <3 The fur stole from DP yumyum with the little fringe trim is perfect for keeping the shoulders covered and the shiny pants from Lelutka are definitely on my favorite list. They are beautifully rendered and look great in every color. Here they are perfect apres-ski pants but put them with heels and they are sexy and sleek. Kookies’ boots are just yummy….and they come in so many colors, you won’t be able to choose! Details on the rest of the outfit are listed after the cut. Take care and stay warm!

I have had these wonderful Emery tights with the quilted leather knee patches in my inventory for at least a couple of months and never really found exactly what I wanted to wear them with. Then today I found this wonderful new sweater from So Many Styles and the match was made. The sweater is really a dress, but I pulled up the middle prim to shorten it a bit. I love this sweater dress, the texture is just so “knitty.” I feel warm just looking at it. The big cowl neck is fantastically sculpted. And it comes with a version that has a flower at the neck too. The skin I am wearing is one of the new Eclate skins from Lelutka. That is why I included the large photo to show you how pretty these are….just on the off chance that somehow you haven’t seen them yet. Anyway, I think these skins are beautiful and I absolutely love the thicker brows. (Reminds me of a young Brooke Shields.) The purse from Baiastice is real crocodile—so it must be vintage, right? And I love that it is resizable which comes in handy. Just enlarge or shrink depending on the look you want. If only that were possible in rl! I wanted to keep the shoes simple and the Verve suede pumps from Maitreya with their small platform give a nice line to the leg. Anyway, I like the look; uncomplicated, casual and elegant. Hope you do too. (Click any photo to see a larger version.)

I recently wrote a post about a favorite fun party dress, “Adrianna” from Stitch by Stitch. I love the creativity of Sevenstar Amat, designer of Stitch By Stitch and decided to do a second post about another of my favorites from her store. What I love about this dress is that it comes in great colors, it has a wonderful full skirt with a poufy net underskirt that shows just a little, and a little rose and bead decoration at the waist. The fabric has a slightly watery texture like big drops of rain had fallen on it. The netting on the underskirt has lot of little pieces of colored fabric attached that adds a little extra color. <3 This dress really lends itself to accessorizing. So I took three colors from my closet and did them all up a little differently.
The first look is the dress in all it’s adorable cuteness just as it is. All I added was the wide patent belt. The hat/hair is a new one from Argrace picked up at the hair fair, I love the way the hair is swept around and hangs over one shoulder! The tats give the outfit a little edge..if you haven’t been to Tattoo World, go check it out….they have so many fantastic ones. The shoes aren’t really new but they are sooo cute from Kookie’s.
The Raspberry dress is a yummy color. The little jacket is a blouse from Digit Darkes and I <3 the little pleats and the sheerness of it. The super cute clutch from Atelier AM has a pearled chain handle and a tiny bow at the closure. The hair is another great one from Lamb! Gotta love the sweeping side bangs and how it is starting to come loose on one side.
The Lemongrass has to be my favorite. The color is amazing. The kitten heels from 50 flats are a perfect match and the sweater from Mischief is so cute and well done. I was really happy with this combination, lots of layers and my favorite hair from the hairfair by Dernier Cri.
Hope you like them,

Applonia Criss at Chankare has unveiled her new collection and it is full of beautiful and lovely surprises. I spent an hour or so there at the opening and dropped quite a few lindens but it was well worth it. The collection runs the gamut from dreamy and frothy confections to slinky and sexy haute couture. This was the first dress I bought. I knew as soon as I saw it, it was “the one”. I love the ballerina length skirt and the yards and yards of pixelated organza that float around the body like so many petals of fresh flowers. The colors are soft and delicate, not always an easy thing to pull off in our virtual world. I especially love the frothy treatment around the bodice and shoulders. If you haven’t been yet, please go see all the goodness and dream a little dream yourself!

Wow…between traveling and work, I haven’t had any time to blog. :( But I recently logged in and found all the new Paper Couture Spring goodness. I sort of went crazy…Paper Couture crazy!! I love the whole flower theme and the spring colors. The jewelry is fantastic (my jewelry box is now bulging) and the shoes are some of the most incredible I have seen in sl. So I wanted to put a post together— although I know everyone has been there, seen all the fabbie things and spent their lindens!!! Come on, I have to justify—at least to myself—all my spending (!!) So here is one of my favorite Paper Couture Spring Collection outfits, Beaded Wildflowers, re-imagined a couple of different ways. Above you see the original dress with all its wonderful detail. I really love the colors and textures! The big flower on my head is from one of the incredible new hairs from the Lu sisters–but worn here on a different hair style.
I love the bright pinks and the tight -fitting pants with this top too. I added the belt with the bow which is modifed and taken from an Armidi coat dress. Below is a third outfit created with the same top by adding a short skirt ….super, super cute… from Sugarcube. It comes in several colors and is a great, versatile addition to the wardrobe. I really love the shape. Instead of the agate necklace worn above, this is worn with the P.C. Fabric Bead scarf necklace….one of my favorite things from the entire P.C. collection. Anyway, sorry about the picture spam but I just couldn’t decide on my favorite…I liked them all. Hope you do too. Yay for the Lu sisters!!!
